Call for Artists

LOCAL CALL FOR ARTISTS IN AND AROUND JACKSON HOLE

From time to time Center for the Arts issues Calls for Artists to submit designs for projects at The Center. In the past we’ve issued calls for multiple types of art including digital art to be featured on our digital monitors throughout the building, for bike racks that show the artistic and collaborative nature of The Center, and more. If you have any questions please reach out to our Creative Initiatives Director, Oona Doherty.

Open Call for Artists – Digital Art

More information about current or upcoming artist open calls is found below.
  • Center for the Arts is seeking video/digital media art to be displayed on LED monitors located throughout The Center Campus. All work will be considered that uses digital technology as an essential part of the artistic process including video, photography, illustrations and graphic design. The four LED monitors are visible to the public in the Theater and Glenwood lobbies, the main entrances on campus. Two artists will be selected to showcase artwork for a four month period. Selected artists will receive a $300 artist award.

Proposal details: Artwork is intended to be experienced and enjoyed by the many diverse people who visit The Center Campus for events and classes, including children of all ages. Due to the transitory nature of the audience, works less than 5 minutes in length are preferable. All rights of artwork remain the property of the artist. Each artist may submit one entry or a series for consideration. The Center Selections Committee will review submissions based on artistic merit and are looking for work that sparks curiosity and engagement and celebrates creativity and imagination in the digital space.

    Deadline: March 30, 2024
