WILD Fest will be a unique & exciting opportunity to attend premier film screening, take part in hands-on experiments, and personally interact with some of the world’s leading conservationists and filmmakers – it’s all happening right in your backyard at The Center.

Coral reefs around the world are vanishing at an unprecedented rate. A team of divers, photographers and scientists set out on a thrilling ocean adventure to discover why and to reveal the underwater mystery to the world.

58 minutes, followed by Q&A with filmmakers and spy creatures!
To discover just how like us animals really are, animatronic spy creatures infiltrate the animal world to explore their complex emotions. Spy pup is immersed in wild dog life to explore their maternal love and Spy Chick discovers the extraordinary devotion of hornbills as a mother is imprisoned for the sake of her brood.

Film Screening: Ranger and Leopard

Halvani, a hard-working ranger, hears about the presence of a Persian Leopard in an area under his protection in Isfahan, a city in central Iran. Nobody has spotted any Persian Leopard there for about forty years, but Halvani suspects that they may still be there.

Film Screening: Ghost of the Mountains
78 minutes, followed by Q&A with the filmmakers
Go behind the scenes of one of finding and filming the rarely seen snow leopards. At more than 15,000 feet, China’s Qinghai Plateau is perfect for snow leopards. However, for the humans who film there, the air is painfully thin, the weather is brutal, the terrain is tricky and their spotted subjects are nearly impossible to locate”much less capture on film.

There exists a wild and unsung Paris that we do not suspect. Let’s take a walk on the city’s wild side, and set off in search of its secret tales.

Film Screening: Grand Teton Award Winner
Film to be announced after Grand Teton Awards Ceremony!
A record-breaking 583 films were entered in the 2017 Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival competition, but only one will walk away with the honor of “best of festival.” Finalist judges will announce the Grand Teton Award winner on Thursday, Sept. 28, and we look forward to screening it free to the Jackson Hole public just a few days later. FREE at Center for the Arts.
