Visiting Artist Workshop: Floral Leather Carving
Event info
Join nationally known Marty Elmore and Rick Lanning, as they guide you into the wide world of floral carving, one of the most versatile leather crafts skills in the leather business. It has been used to decorate leather in almost every field of leatherworking, from footwear to furniture, from purses to saddles and everything in between. During this class, you will learn some of the elements of floral carving and leather tooling, and practice with the instructor’s help. On Saturday morning students will learn what the different tools do and be introduced to how to set up your design. Then students have the afternoon to “recharge” and come back on Sunday to execute their designs.
Tools need to be brought or purchased at the Flat Creek Saddle Shop. Leather will be provided.
