Center for the Arts

The Center for the Arts hosts the annual exhibit of young artists made by students in local schools. Artwork on display includes work from diverse students from Jackson Hole High School and Mountain Academy.

The Mountain Academy students explored the concept of linear perspective, plein air and the various techniques in media such as ink and watercolor. Students also focused on creating patterns and achieving a sense of rhythm and unity in their winter landscape paintings.Mountain Academy’s juniors and seniors are showing work from their International Baccalaureate (IB) art program.

Artwork from Jackson Hole High School represents a variety of students from all art classes. The focus for all art classes is to build skills that promote confidence and growth and to nurture creative original work. A woven willow piece will also be on display outside, inspired by the work of Patrick Dougherty.
