Dancers’ Workshop Presents
Rhythm & Theory with Savion Glover & Marshall Davis, Jr.
October 11-13, 2018

$68 Full Workshop
$25 Drop-in

Expect the unexpected in three days of tap with world-renowned tap dancer Savion Glover and fellow hoofer Marshall Davis, Jr. Using an unconventional teaching style, Savion teaches rhythms that you create with your body rather than step-by-step routines. He likes to take an idea and explore it fully before moving on to the next. You’ll learn not only movement but tap history, philosophy, rhythm and musicality. These classes are open level for ages 7+ and multi-generational.

Thursday, 5:30-7:00pm
Friday, 6:00-7:30pm
Saturday, 12:00-1:30pm

Savion is committed to tap education and the history of tap as an art form. He believes the key to tap lies in its intellectual approach and learning to communicate sound through movement.

You can run out of steps, but you’ll never run out of sounds, says Savion.
In addition to teaching tap in our studios, Savion and Marshall will do outreach at Jackson Hole Middle and High Schools as well as a lecture demonstration at Dancers’ Workshop on Saturday, October 13 at 4pm.

Savion “could arguably be the best tap dancer that ever lived. He’s a genius.” – Gregory Hines
