Dive ‘Under the Sea’ with Off Square Theatre’s 2026 Thieme Youth Musical, “Disney’s The Little Mermaid.” Based on one of Hans Christian Anderson’s most beloved stories and the classic animated film, “The Little Mermaid” is a beautiful love story for the ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including “Under the Sea”, “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.”

Don’t miss out on this FIN-tastic musical journey that will leave you smiling long after the curtain falls!

The production also features a live orchestra of local musicians led by music director/conductor Alec Steinhorn and assistant music director Laura Huckin.

Off Square Theatre produces the Mike and Jean Louise Thieme Youth Musical annually. The Youth Musical is an opportunity for young theatre artists to put what they learn into practice on stage with a professional production team and to share the joyful magic of theatre with audiences from Teton County and beyond. To support theatre arts education in Jackson, WY, please join Off Square Theatre at the Rising Star Soirée on February 19. The night before The Little Mermaid opens to the public, a special preview of the final dress rehearsal is the highlight of the Rising Star Soirée.
