Join KHOL and One Small Step participants as they share their experiences meeting their “political opposite.” This is the culminating event for a year-long effort spearheaded by KHOL in western Wyoming to improve civic discourse and mend political division. One Small Step is based on contact theory, which states that a meaningful interaction between people with opposing views can help turn “thems” into “us-es.” Since its launch in 2021, over 3,400 people across 40 states have participated in a One Small Step conversation.
At this event, KHOL will also debut a new rotating public art installation that will help share these conversations throughout the community.
