Nukah’whups Tribe Dance Troupe

As part of the Art Association’s pop-up art fair on August 14th, The Center is hosting the Nukah’whups tribe, a Shoshone-Bannock dance troupe who will bring their traditional dance styles back to their aboriginal homelands of the Teton Valley. The translation of Nukah’whups is People Who Dance for Us in Shoshone. They will also bring their world-famous Shoshone-Bannock beadwork and crafts. We invite the community to come learn about the culture, watch traditional dances and view their outstanding arts and crafts. Demonstrations will take place at the outdoor amphitheater in the Center Park at 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM and then again from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. Beadwork and crafts will be located under the white tent.
