Artist Workshop with Nolan Tredway
Make Your Own Cryptid
Event info
Cryptids are creatures that exist somewhere between folklore, rumor, memory, and imagination. They are the taboo underbelly of storytelling, yet we will always tell a tale near a campfire. In this workshop, you will invent a personal cryptid inspired by an emotional experience you have had in or nearby Jackson, Wyoming. Your creature might embody a feeling, protect a particular place, haunt a memory, or make visible something that normally goes unnoticed.
At the end of the workshop, we will place everyone’s cryptids on a shared map, creating a mythological geography of Jackson.
