Nature Mapping Jackson Hole “Pic-Luck”

On June 1, 2021, Jackson Hole’s citizen scientists are invited to a BYO picnic on the Center Lawn (please maintain a respectful distance from others) followed by a virtual presentation of “(Re)Connecting Wild”. Filmmaker Jake Willers will host a brief presentation after the film, joined by a variety of panelists and followed by a Q&A opportunity.

Hosted annually by the Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation with the support of the Meg and Bert Raynes Wildlife Fund, the Nature Mapping Jackson Hole potluck has traditionally brought together Jackson Hole’s wildlife-friendly community of citizen scientists for an evening of food, conversation, education, and celebration. Featuring a potluck meal provided solely by attendees, the potluck evening at the Center for the Arts, downtown Jackson has featured a communal meal, keynote presenter, and a small raffle and silent auction.
After cancellation in 2020 due to public health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, this annual celebration is back for 2021! In honor of the potluck spirit, a 1st annual publication of a “Citizen Scientist Potluck Cookbook” will be available to all attendees this year. Consider contributing a recipe so we can share the spirit of sharing a meal

Additional interactive elements, both in lead-up and at the event, are still to be announced. Creative, engaging raffle items will be available with raffle tickets on sale soon!
