Three presentations focused on sexual abuse, gender violence and the way forward:

#MeToo: How and Why This Happened, What It Means and How To Move Forward by Mary Billiter, award-winning weekly newspaper columnist, college writing instructor and author
As new revelations of unacceptable behavior in every industry breaks daily as more women come forward in response to the viral #MeToo movement, preventing sexual predation begins with understanding that not all sexual assaults or sexual harassment against women are monolithic. It took a close friend’s recent rape for Wyoming columnist Mary Billiter to come to terms with her own rape and years of sexual abuse that had silenced her voice.

Compassion is a force stronger than violence by Keely Herron, marketing, branding and creative communications specialist
How could compassionate listening change the way we discuss gender violence? Keely Herron draws on her background in consumer research and communications strategy to begin understanding the forces that drive gender violence as a way to inform strategies that promote positive behavior change.

Jeff will use his expertise to guide courageous conversations about intimate partner violence, justice and healing.He will use excerpts from the documentary film A Better Man. This film offers a fresh and interesting look at the healing and revelation that can happen for everyone involved when men take responsibility for their abuse.
