Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation is pleased to host acclaimed birder, author, and advocate Christian Cooper for a presentation this August. This free community event offers a rare opportunity to hear from a passionate and respected voice for nature and conservation.

Cooper’s presentation promises to be both engaging and insightful, blending personal stories with his deep knowledge and love for the natural world. From his childhood experiences discovering the vibrant colors of the Red-Winged Blackbird to his global travels, Cooper’s unique perspective is sure to inspire and educate attendees.

Hosting Christian Cooper reflects JHWF’s mission to foster a deep connection between our community and wildlife, promoting conservation through storytelling, engagement and a sense of belonging. Rooted in gratitude for JHWF’s dedicated volunteers, we warmly welcome the whole community to join us at the presentation. Christian Cooper is an Emmy Award-winning host and the NY Times bestselling author of Better Living Through Birding: Notes from a Black Man in a Natural World. Known for his work as the host of National Geographic’s Extraordinary Birder with Christian Cooper, he brings his lifelong passion for birding and environmental advocacy to a wide audience. A former president of the Harvard Ornithological Club and current vice president of the New York City Bird Alliance, Christian champions safe, accessible green spaces and engages underserved communities in the joys of birdwatching.
