Back by popular demand, Andrew Munz returns to the stage for a one-night-only engagement of his highly acclaimed standup comedy special, “I Don’t Ski.”
Voted Jackson Hole’s Best Actor* and touted Town Demagogue, Munz’s unique blend of comedy, rabble-rousing and theatrical performance has been entertaining local audiences for years. His popular “I Can Ski Forever” musical satire series has sold over 5,000 tickets, which amounts to roughly one-percent of all Wyoming residents. The first two performances of “I Don’t Ski” (Pink Garter Theatre, Dec 27-28, 2019) also completely sold out. Packed with new material, this Center show is not to be missed.
A homegrown Jackson local, Munz studied standup, improv and sketch-writing at The Second City, iO Theatre and The Annoyance Theatre in Chicago. He was also a founding member of local improv troupe, The Laff Staff. In November 2019, Munz performed his first one-man show, “Tumbleweed: Dispatches from the (In)Equality State” in conjunction with Destiny Manifests and Roy Productions in NYC.
“Munz wears his life story on his sleeve. He’s always on even when he’s off. Dynamically motley and impossibly three-dimensional, Munz creates characters out of thin air because he is a character. He studies life in all its complexities while living life in every shade.” – Jake Nichols, Planet Jackson Hole
“Jackson Hole is Munz’s perfect muse. We’re all just performers in a satire about our own lives, waiting for Munz to notice us and put us on stage.” – Shannon Sollitt, Buckrail
*An actual award. Gold, Best of Jackson Hole 2019
