Opening Reception
May 4 | 4:30-6:30 PM
A showcase of paintings made by longtime Jackson resident Eliot Goss. Goss will exhibit a variety of oil paintings including his series Inadvertent Art Industrial; scenes of a defunct German industrial complex as well as a variety of paintings of the local landscape.
Eliot Goss first began to paint landscapes in 1956. In architectural school at that time, students used watercolor as a tool in design renderings, a skill he took into the outdoors. During his sixty years as an architect, Goss continued painting outside, venturing into abstract expressionism, portraiture and figure drawing, exploring all mediums. Since retirement, he has become a prolific painter and spends much of his time in his Jackson Hole painting studio.
Please join us at the opening reception on May 4th, 4:30-6:30 PM in the Center Theater Gallery. Art and books will be available to purchase and refreshments will be served.
