Dancers’ Workshop presents the internationally-renowned Batsheva Dance Company to Jackson, Wyoming. Batsheva returns to North America this spring with a new evening-length work by Batsheva’s house choreographer and former artistic director Ohad Naharin called “Venezuela”. Naharin is known worldwide for his adventurous vision and distinctive choreographic voice. Based in Tel Aviv, the eighteen dancers of Batsheva’s senior company are cast globally and are trained by Naharin in his original movement language called “Gaga”. A signature of Batsheva’s dancers is their visceral physicality combined with the depth and consistency of their training” a quality that is at once raw and virtuosic.
