Dancers’ Workshop Presents
a Community Performance Project
with Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company

October 19-25, 2018

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS!

Jackson Hole community members are invited to join legendary choreographer Bill T. Jones and his Company in the creative process and performance of Jones’ latest work through Dancers’ Workshop artist-in-residence program, October 18-25. No dance experience required!

Jones’ large-scale work is divided into three sections: the first section focuses on one person, Bill himself; in the second section, the lone person is joined by a company of ten performers (Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company); in the third section, the Company is joined by the community.

The work examines the condition of loneliness in the individual experienced alone and within a community. It explores the need for community and the notion of collective redemption. Jones feels that the formal groupings and the way the work goes from one to ten to one hundred is a meditation on the nature of community building in a confusing era.
