Artful Hour with Laff Staff

Join Center for the Arts, its Resident Organizations, and local artists this summer for the Artful Hour! This free series features Center Resident Organizations and local artists presenting programs that are informative, engaging, and immersive. Each week, different artists will showcase their craft, share their approach to the creative process, and invite attendees to a hands-on artful experience.

Programs are all FREE and open to the public, every Wednesday at 5:00 PM during The People’s Market from July 2nd through August 20th in The Center Tent.

Improv Comedy with Laff Staff
In this program, you’ll learn the basics of improv comedy, from the importance of trusting yourself to working together as a team. Participants will be invited to build off-the-cuff stories and support their teammates. No experience necessary, just an open mind!

Chris Staron has performed with the Laff Staff for almost 16 years. The Laff Staff is Jackson’s local, award-winning improv comedy troupe, frequently named one of the best things in Jackson. Off stage, he is the host of the Truce podcast and, in another era, wrote/directed/and produced two independent films.
