ARTFUL HOUR WITH OFF SQUARE THEATRE CO. — THIN AIR SHAKESPEARE OPEN REHEARSAL
Pack your picnic and blanket and make your way to the lawn! Summer in Jackson wouldn’t be complete without a memorable night of free, outdoor Thin Air Shakespeare, presented by Off Square Theatre. In 2026, this beloved Jackson tradition is getting a little twist — Off Square Theatre will present the first Thin Air Shakespeare MUSICAL with Broadway’s Something Rotten!. Enjoyable for audiences of all ages, with some bawdy Renaissance humor and innuendo.
Thin Air Shakespeare is designed for all ages and presented free of charge in the amphitheater at Center for the Arts, breaking down the traditional barriers to professional theater and focusing on opportunities for the intergenerational experience of live performance. Audiences should bring their own blankets and picnics to the lawn.
Artful Hour programs are all FREE and open to the public, every Wednesday at 5:00 PM during The People’s Market from July 2nd through September 23rd in The Center Tent.
