Artful Hour with the Grand Teton Music Festival

Join Grand Teton Music Festival (GTMF)’s Meaghan and Rudi Heinrich for an up-close-and-personal look at the bassoon. Bring the whole family to hear and learn about one of the most unique instruments in the orchestra. As always, we’ll have plenty of opportunities to sing and dance along!

Artful Hour programs are all FREE and open to the public, every Wednesday at 5:00 PM during The People’s Market from July 2nd through September 23rd in The Center Tent. This free series features Center Resident Organizations and local artists presenting programs that are informative, engaging, and immersive. Each week, different artists will showcase their craft, share their approach to the creative process, and invite attendees to a hands-on artful experience.

Meaghan Heinrich is a K-5 music educator in Milwaukee Public Schools and a frequent collaborator with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. She serves as Education Curator for the Grand Teton Music Festival and has been a guest presenter and facilitator in education and community engagement for arts organizations around the country.

Rudi Heinrich is currently Acting Principal Bassoon with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. He joined the orchestra in 2013 after holding positions in the Alabama Symphony and Louisiana Philharmonic, as well as the Des Moines Metro Opera Orchestra. This is his third year performing with GTMF. Rudi is married to Education Coordinator Meaghan Heinrich, and father to Mac and Maddie, 2/3 of the band Grim Paddle. He loves to cycle in the Tetons and thinks of Jackson as his home away from home.
