The Center completes major Theater Lighting upgrades with support from Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund

JACKSON, WY – Center for the Arts is proud to announce the completion of vital lighting upgrades in The Center Theater, made possible by a grant from the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund (WCTF). This project represents the next phase in a long-term investment in technical infrastructure to serve the region’s arts community.

The improvements, which were initiated in fall 2024 and completed this spring, included the installation of new energy-efficient LED fixtures, replacing outdated conventional units. These modern fixtures significantly reduce energy consumption— up to 72% less power—and enhance design flexibility for touring artists and the local nonprofits that call The Center home.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund for their support,” said Patrick Millard, Technical Director at The Center. “These upgrades allow us to better serve the more than 20 local Nonprofit Resident Partners who present work on our stage and ensure that our community has access to a professionally equipped venue for years to come.”

The WCTF grant funded key components of the project, including the purchase of new fixtures and power source conversion. The Center provided matching funds through donor support and annual budget allocation. The Center’s in-house technical team completed all aspects of installing the new equipment, reducing costs and ensuring a seamless transition with minimal disruption to programming.

With these upgrades, The Center is better positioned to host high-quality productions while advancing sustainability and lowering long-term maintenance needs.
