Behind the Scenes at The Center: El Laberinto del Coco

Videographer Blake Ciulla joined The Center team on the day of The Center Presents: El Laberinto del Coco in October. We are happy to share a small part of what goes into putting on a show in our 500-seat theater in Jackson, Wyoming.

The Puerto Rican bomba fusion band, El Laberinto del Coco, was formed by percussionist Hector “Coco” Barez. The genre-bending collective was built around the folklore and rhythmic styles of bomba. The group’s vision is to dig deep into the African roots of call-and-response with four vocalists and horn players to remind us of the power of bomba to create community.

Center for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect our creative community by providing a dedicated campus, supporting excellent programming, and nurturing a collaborative spirit. In close collaboration with over 20 local and regional Resident Organizations, Center for the Arts serves as a hub of arts and culture in the community.
