Big Thief comes to The Center Theater with their “Somersault Slide 360 Tour.”

Over the last decade, Big Thief has proven themselves to be one of the most exciting live bands of their generation. Known for classics from their debut album “Masterpiece” like “Velvet Ring” and “Paul,” Big Thief stands out in the indie folk-rock scene with their emotionally-resonant lyrics and sound.

Composed of songwriter Adrianne Lenker, guitarist Buck Meek, and drummer James Krivchenia, their creative output is seemingly limitless, sprawling across five critically-acclaimed albums.

Big Thief has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket sold will go towards safeguarding people experiencing homelessness and ending the cycle of homelessness and poverty.

On her transcendent record (2023), Workin’ On A World, Iris DeMent faces the modern world— with its climate catastrophe, pandemic illness, and epidemic of violence and social injustice. She not only asks us how we can keep working towards a better world, but implores us to love each other, despite our very different ways of seeing. Her songs are her way of healing our broken inner and outer spaces.
