Join Art Association’s Jen Hoffman for Relief Print Bandanas, this Artful Hour project will reveal the magic of relief printmaking! Linocut is a form of relief printmaking, where parts of the block are cut away, and the remaining flat surfaces are inked up to transfer the image. The meditative process of linocut printing allows students to create bold, striking prints. The most exciting part of the process is pulling back the paper or fabric to reveal the image for the first time.  Participants will use a variety of pre-carved images and fabric inks to create their own custom-printed bandana!

Artful Hour programs are all FREE and open to the public, every Wednesday at 5:00 PM during The People’s Market from July 2nd through September 23rd in The Center Tent. This free series features Center Resident Organizations and local artists presenting programs that are informative, engaging, and immersive. Each week, different artists will showcase their craft, share their approach to the creative process, and invite attendees to a hands-on artful experience.
