Artist Statement
Geraci creates surprising juxtapositions of color that reveal moments in time, like the fall glow of a dense thicket, the mesmerizing effect of summer light on water, or the delicious indigo shadows at dawn. In the studio she transcribes dreams into playful and childlike scenes with bold brush strokes built over layers of paint. And she is developing her own expressive graffiti-like language of mark making used in non-representational work. Geraci works energetically and intuitively.
