Winner of the 2012 Pulitzer Prize. Somewhere in Philadelphia, Elliot has returned from Iraq and is struggling to find his place in the world. Somewhere in a chat room, recovering addicts keep each other alive, hour by hour, day by day. The boundaries of family and community are stretched across continents and cyberspace as birth families splinter and online families collide. WATER BY THE SPOONFUL is a heartfelt meditation on lives on the brink of redemption.
April 29 - Post-Show talkback sponsored by Wyoming Humanities Council
Join director and humanities scholar Karin Waidley and the cast for a talkback after the performance on the themes of the play and contemporary relevance of the playwright. Talkback is free and open to all. Tickets must be purchased if you wish to see the production.
Off Square Theatre is partnering with the Wyoming Humanities Council to bring enrichment opportunities around Off Square’s production of Water by the Spoonful by Quiara Alegría Hudes with humanities scholar Dr. Karin Waidley. Details on additional events related to the trilogy of “Elliot Plays” by Ms. Hudes available here.
