Center for the Arts will welcome folk musician and storyteller John Craigie with special guest Madeline Hawthorne to The Center stage. Craigie is heralded as “...the lovechild of John Prine and Mitch Hedberg with a vagabond troubadour edge.” - The Stranger. His latest album, Mermaid Salt, was born out of the pandemic and the loneliness that came from the lockdown and will be shared with a raw and humorous stage performance.

Madeline Hawthorne, the event’s opening act,  is an accomplished musician striking out on a solo tour after years with her band Hawthorne Roots. Her first solo album Boots is an expression of profound reflection and self-discovery, reckoning with evolution and independence while facing down the pressures of modern womanhood.

The show will be a mix of soulful folk and humorous storytelling between the two accomplished musicians.
