Join Native performers from across the west as they share the enchanting age-old traditional music and dance, as well as introduce new exciting vibrant styles and movements. Native song and dance evolution presented in this colorful cultural exhibition showcase is masterfully curated by the master of ceremonies, Chico Her Many Horses.
Chico is the Oglala Lakota elder featured in the 2020 Wyoming PBS special Wacipi: Celebrating Native American Dance and Song filmed here at the Center for the Arts. Several of the performers were also included in the 2020 PBS special.
Native American Music Award (NAMMY) winner for Best Male Artist, Andy Vasquez brings his creativity and passion to this Jackson Hole platform.
Performers included are from the Wind River Reservation, Fort Hall Reservation, Pine Ridge Reservation, Rosebud Reservation, Crow Reservation and Blackfeet Reservation.
This Native American dance and song presentation is intended to reach out to the greater community of Jackson and Teton County to continue mutual diversity understanding and artistic appreciation.
