Jackson Hole Music Experience

About JHME

The Jackson Hole Music Experience (JHME) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching our community’s local music education and increasing the accessibility to live musical performances for people of all ages. They offer a variety of music educational programs and live events throughout the year. Sign up and become a member of JHME today at www.jhme.org.

Educational Programs

Jackson Hole Rock 'n' Roll Camp ? Each summer, Jackson Hole is host to up to 80 students with one thing on their minds: learning how to rock! This weeklong program puts students into full-fledged rock bands and is headlined with world famous instructors and clinicians. The camp culminates with two live performances, starting with a "Faculty Jam" concert and finishing with the student concert.

JHME After School! ? In conjunction with Teton County School District, JHME is now offering supplemental music instruction for high school and middle school students. This weekly program pairs interested students by instrument with a professional instructor to provide one-on-one and group learning that is otherwise not available.

JHME Jazz Workshop ? Hosted by Jackson Hole's own Keith Phillips, this annual clinic is taught in the master class format with a strict emphasis on jazz. The daylong workshop includes performances, discussions on improvisational techniques, and critiques.

JHME Workshops & Clinics ? With the growing number of venues in town, Jackson Hole has been attracting bigger and better musical acts. As these talents move through town, JHME has been able to ferret out certain visiting musicians who not only love to perform but who love to teach as well. Last year, JHME and Stanton Moore, the famed drummer from the band Galactic, put together a "Rhythm Clinic" that was held at the Center for the Arts.

JHME Instructor Referral ? As a service to the community and to help support the local network of private music instructors, JHME offers a free "instructor referral" program. Parents and/or students can sift through the list of our area's best private instructors on our website at www.jhme.org.

Performances

Friday Live Concert Series ? With 6 to 10 shows per year, JHME's Friday Live Concert Series brings live music to families! JHME's membership program costs only $60 per family per year and allows for free admission to all Friday Live concerts (only $30 for singles). These all-ages shows provide the community with a one-of-a-kind live music experience!

JHME Student Recital ? This annual event features not only the valley's best young students, but also gives our wonderful private instructors a chance to showcase their skills as well. Held at the Center for the Arts, the show also gives these young students a taste of what it is like performing on a real stage.

Rock Camp Concerts ? JHME hosts two Rock Camp concerts each summer ? two of the most fun events of the year. The back-to-back shows start with a mind-blowing "Faculty Jam" concert on Thursday, July 16, and finish with the student bands from Rock Camp each performing on Friday, July 17.

Women of Jackson Singer & Songwriter Showcase ? Last September marked the sixth annual show for what has now become a tradition in Jackson. This "showcase" format show is held at the Center Theater at the Center for the Arts and highlights the most talented female musical artists. The September date is TBD.
