Reinstatement of The Center's 501(c)(3) Status

Oct 29, 2019 by Anne Bradley

Center for the Arts announced today that its 501(c)(3) status was officially reinstated in full by the IRS effective October 24, 2019. The reinstatement is retroactive back to the date of revocation.

“I am grateful to The Center’s staff and board, the entire Jackson community, and especially, the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole for their steadfast support during this process,” said David J. Rothman, President and CEO of The Center. “We couldn’t have done it without them all.”

The community’s support of The Center is stronger than ever with record-breaking attendance during last summer’s Center Presents season, including the sold-out Center Benefit with The Avett Brothers and a strong showing during the Old Bill’s giving season. The winter season lineup of performances will be announced on December 4.

As a nonprofit organization, The Center relies on private donations to fulfill the organization’s mission “to connect our creative community by providing a dedicated campus, supporting excellent programming, and nurturing a collaborative spirit.” The organization’s vision is to make artistic experience central to Jackson Hole by embracing the values of stewardship, excellence, inclusion, creativity, and respect.
