Jackson, Wyo - Center for the Arts has hired veteran concert promoter Shannon McCormick as its new programming director. In his new position, McCormick will be responsible for booking talent and coordinating production of the Center’s year-round programming. Shannon brings with him more than two decades of experience in talent buying and production coordination.

Shannon McCormick is a familiar face to many Jackson Hole locals. Having lived in Jackson for over 25 years, it is likely you have seen him fly fishing the Snake River, enjoying the pathways or attending one of thousands of concerts he has produced since his arrival in 1985.

“We are excited that Shannon is joining our team. He has a proven track record of bringing impressive live music to Jackson and a knack for event production,” said Cindee George, executive director of Center for the Arts.

The Center for the Arts presents a variety of programs each year for the enjoyment of the Jackson Hole community. During its 2012 summer season, the Center produced a unique lineup of 11 concerts and speakers with a diverse array of talent ranging in genre from bluegrass to reggae.
